چکیده

Inspired by the low-difficulty of implementing a dual-branch selection combining (SC) technique, this research paper presents approximate closed form expressions for bit error rate (BER) M-ary phase shift keying (M-PSK) considering SC technique. In particular, BER expression is derived over independent and identically distributed (i.i.d) alpha - mu fading channels based on use Meijer’s G-function. The presented mathematical formulas can be modified to study performance different types including Weibull, exponential, Nakagami-m, Gamma, Rayleigh channels. This achieved updating parameters propagation medium nonlinearity (alpha) number multipath clusters (mu). addition, provides numerical results that demonstrate close match in simulation findings terms BER. Specifically, very total using range signal noise ratio (SNR) levels various selections parameters. obtained M-PSK technique novel, new, has never been published literature before.

Unified Analysis of Generalized Selection Combining over Arbitrary Fading Channels

We derive general, unified expressions for the probability density function, cumulative distribution function, and mean SNR of generalized selection combining operating over multibranch, arbitrary, correlated, non-identical fading channels. The expressions are written in terms of the joint probability density function of the branch signals and allow for the equalgain and maximal-ratio methods i...

A Blind Hammerstein Diversity Combining Technique for Flat Fading Channels

Diversity combining techniques play an important role in combating the destructive effects of channel fading in wireless communication systems. In this work we present a blind diversity combining technique for Rayleigh flat fading channels based on Hammerstein type filters. We show that the performance of this technique is very close to ideal MRC system which is accepted as an optimum receiver ...

Performance analysis of system with L-branch selection combining over correlated Weibull fading channels in the presence of cochannel interference

In this paper, closed-form expressions for probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) at the output of the triple selection combining (SC) receiver over correlated Weibull fading channels in the presence of correlated cochannel interference (CCI) are derived. These expressions are used to study wireless system performa...

Error-rate Performance of Selection Combining over Generalized Correlated Weibull Fading Channels

Error-rate performance is studied for selection combining (SC) with arbitrary number of diversity branches over generalized correlated Weibull fading channels. Using a transformation of cumulative distribution function of average branch signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), we present the exact error-rate expressions for coherent and noncoherent modulations in infinite series forms. In particular, we de...

Selection Diversity Combining Analysis of Energy Detector Over a-fl Generalized Fading Channels

This paper addresses the problem of energy detection of an unknown deterministic signal over a general fading channel model. More particularly, a closed-form mathematical expression is derived for the energy detector's probability of detection over a-# generalized fading channel with selection combining diversity reception. The derived expression can be used to study the performance of energy d...
